"My favorite part of my job is giving each patient a comfortable, positive experience from the moment they sit in my chair," says Dr. Peters. "I love making people feel more confident about their smiles, and believe that maintaining excellent oral health is an integral part of maintaining one's overall health."
Dr. Mary Kate Peters was born in Nuremburg, Germany to an Army family and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. After graduating from College of William & Mary with a degree in Neuroscience, she went to dental school at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor on a full Army scholarship. Dr. Peters was awarded her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 and served as an active duty dentist at Fort Hood, Texas and Balad, Iraq.
Dr. Peters joinged Parmer Lane Family Dentistry in 2009 and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Capital Area Dental Society. She is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry and belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry, a premier professional organization for continuing education.
Dr. Peters enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick their son, John, and their black Labrador retriever, Katy. In her spare time, she likes cooking, yoga, and hiking in the Hill Country.
